In the 1970 ’s this mat is developed and produced in the Netherlands. The outdoor skiing in the Netherlands started on excisting hills covered with pine needles. This plastic skiing surface replaced the pine needles and was placed on several excisting hills.
This decade even in the Alps and other skiing area’s one can find these mats. Here the mats are used at the start of the chairlifts, ticket check gates and also at the top of the chairlifts.
These mats are extremely durable against wear and tear and when needed keep the snow from blowing away by strong wind. Using these mats saves the lift personal a lot of work. Only the surplus of the snow has to be brushed of and the ideal heigth to get in the chairlift or pass the liftcard gate is acomplished. At the top of a lift with strong winds these mats keep the snow in it’s place.
Free style summer training ramp:
The Dutch Mountain mats are also world wide placed on free style summer training ramps. This mat is so extremely fast that even the most difficult jumps can be trained. The mats are also very very durable. Due to the tiles and klicking together system, the mat on worn places can easily be changed for other new tiles or with tiles from the track side’s where they are hardly exposed to wear and tear. Thus the total surface of the mats can be used.
”Pole-snow” indoor ski mat:
For indoor use we produce and sell the Pole-snow mat. This mat is used on (the conveyor belt) indoor ski slopes. It’s properties resemble the real snow when skiing on it.
